“Sexy, a bit dark, and effortless”—that’s how bride Trasienne Estrada described her initial concept for her and Jonathan De Guzman’s wedding motif. But as creatives, this event was a canvas for their ideas, and so the process of creating this masterpiece wasn’t linear.
“I think the motif naturally evolved over time as we collaborated with different artists—our designer, stylist, and other creatives we worked with,” Trasienne told Metro.Style. “As the process went on, it kept growing and shifting. I realized I didn’t want to box my ideas into a motif. Letting it unfold organically felt more true to us.”
In their line of work as creators, specializing in photography and videography through Déjà Vu Studios, Jonathan and Trasienne are all for collaboration. And that’s what she considers the best part of their wedding preparations—“seeing how our vision came to life through collaboration.”
Their wedding was a work of art and love. And because that was the intentional approach and mindful direction, the output felt like an opportunity for self-expression through every thoughtful element. “Working with creatives we admired (our stylist, designer, friends in production) made the process feel less like a checklist and more like building something meaningful together. It was also special to see how much love and support poured in from the people around us,” Trasienne said.
Here, we break down the elements we loved from Jonathan and Trasienne’s non-traditional wedding:
The couple truly made the venue their own by collaborating with their stylist, Studio Mara, by adding a rock-and-roll fabric, with the phrase “My Ride or Die,” which draped down from Villa Milagros’ dramatic lighthouse down to the garden altar.
Dedicating a post to express their “deep respect and admiration” for Studio Mara’s team and Ruhe Floral (which dressed up their altar with gorgeous flowers), Trasienne wrote, “We work in production too so we know just how much heart and long hours go into making magic happen behind the scenes.”
Another aspect of the wedding that used drapery was the photo booth area. This visual narrative extended indoors, starting from the tunnel entrance style to the ceiling and stage design.

Bride and Breakfast: Red is a Striking Motif in This Wedding

"Take a few notes from Raffi and Valerie’s wedding if you want your wedding motif to have an extra pop. Red takes a stunning turn in this celebration and gives Raffi and Valerie’s wedding a vibrant and romantic mood. Catching our eyes the most would be Valerie’s bouquet which looks so pretty with cascading red ribbons. The reception venue, with red accents, exudes love and romance – from the red anthuriums as centerpieces up to the tables and backdrops."
